Aniridia

Description

A mal-development of the iris varying from total absence to near normal. Many cases are inherited and may be accompanied by other eye or systemic abnormalities

Clinical Features

Abnormal pupil shape and absence of some or all of the iris
Corneal abnormalities usually resulting in lack of clarity
Lens changes eg cataract
Retinal abnormalities and poor vision
Photophobia
Glaucoma
